Interesting Talk: Christians in Science

Southampton Christians in Science are holding a talk on “Destroying the Myths In the History of Science and Faith” which a few society members will be going along to. In the words of the organisers:

In this lecture Dr. Chapman [historian of science at Wadham College, Oxford] will examine common misunderstandings about key events in science-faith relations. He will expose the facts and opinions that have long been forgotten that have been supplanted by modern propaganda. His book “Slaying the Dragons” strips away layers of misunderstanding and misinterpretation and helps us to appreciate that science and religion are not the common enemies we think they are.

The talk will be taking place at 7:30pm on Tuesday 30th April, in B46 (Physics) Lecture Theatre A.
